Several months ago artist Jessica Hope Prince Kroll met with a client at the Downtowne Coffee House. When leaving she noticed the “For Rent” sign on the building next door. In mid December she opened the doors of her very own working artists studio, Lady J Arts, at 202 Talent Avenue.

Raised in Ashland, and after living in several towns here in the Rogue Valley, Jessica found herself happily living in Talent for handful of years. “When I got married several years ago, I moved to Medford with my husband. It didn’t take long before I was homesick for the little town I had grown to love.”

Livia Genise Steps Down as  Camelot’s Artistic Director

...Has Sight Set on Founding New Theater

After nearly fifteen years as the artistic director of the Camelot Theatre, Livia Genise is moving on.  The actress and director is starting her own non-profit theater company in the Rogue Valley and has her first production slated for the fall.  Though Genise had intended to leave her post at Camelot at the end of the 2016 season, circumstances at the theater changed and she made the decision to depart at the end of March.

Dave grew up in Romania, hoping to one day move to America and open his own business. He began working on cars at a young age alongside his father and older brothers.

New café opens in the railroad depot building

February 9, 2016 marked a new era for the old railroad depot building in downtown Talent when southern Oregon native Clea Arthur opened the doors of Cantina Vida. As Clea describes it, it’s a small café with a big heart.

In 2013, after 20 years working in a cubicle as a Social/Clinical Research Specialist, Tim Whitmire decided to take an early retirement, pack his bags and, along with his wife, Behnaz, move to Talent from the Research Triangle of North Carolina.
