DR. BRENDEN SCOTT OF ANDERSON DENTAL

When it comes to dentists, the newest addition to Grants Pass is Dr. Brenden Scott, DMD, who recently took ownership of Anderson Dental, located at 570 NE E Street. The office has been serving the Grants Pass community for several decades over multiple dentists’ careers. Dr. Scott took ownership in July 2022 from Dr. Paul Anderson, who previously purchased the practice from Dr. Daniel Garey.

 

“I grew up in Eastern Washington and attended OHSU in Portland for dental school,” Dr. Scott said. “After graduation I served in the Navy for five years. As my military service was nearing its end, my wife and I knew we wanted to return to Oregon and felt very strongly that we wanted to raise our three boys in Southern Oregon. After separating from the Navy, I accepted an associate position at a dental implant center in Eugene, with the goal of moving to the Rogue Valley as soon as an opportunity presented itself. We were thrilled when we learned that Anderson Dental was for sale and jumped on the opportunity. We feel very blessed to be here in Grants Pass.”

 

Owning his own business is also a dream come true. “I have always wanted to run my own business,” he said. “I feel that small business owners are an integral part of their communities. Dentists in particular get to be a lasting part of their patients’ lives as we care for them and their family members throughout the years. I wanted to have that kind of relationship with my patients that I wouldn’t get in a larger office or even in the military. I also have an undergraduate degree in accounting, and I was eager to put that education to good use as well.”

 

It’s a full-service dental office at Anderson Dental. “Our team is committed to continuing to provide friendly and professional care for our patients and to make you feel like family,” Dr. Scott said. “We are always willing and excited to see new patients. My professional experience includes implant dentistry and oral surgery, removing third molars, endodontics, and digital same-day dentistry. Our office also has several 3D printers, and our technology allows us to create custom oral appliances for our patients.”

 

The office is nestled in the rear of Colonial Square on E Street. The team includes hygienists Robin Rea and Renee Bowen; EFDA assistants Sarah Gragg and Hunter Liska; and their wonderful front office staff Debby Hampson and Brittany Nelson. 

 

“Our office provides the full spectrum of comprehensive dental care, from prevention and health maintenance to replacing missing or broken teeth, to cosmetically straightening or enhancing your smile,” Dr. Scott said. “We will maintain the name Anderson Dental for a time as a tribute to Dr. Paul Anderson and the exceptional care he provided for our patients. I am committed to continuing his legacy of patient-centered dentistry, but be on the lookout for an office name change in the coming months.
