March 2024

Caveman HeatingJohn Frankforther, owner of Caveman Heating & Air Conditioning, moved to Grants Pass from Ohio in the 1990s and was soon introduced to the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) industry by joining Caveman Heating in sales. He soon moved up to general manager and then became owner of the business, which has been serving the Rogue Valley since 1981. Now he’s totally devoted to the business.

“A well-running HVAC system means your indoor spaces—both home and business—are healthy for the people who live, shop, and work there,” John said. “We keep your system operating the way it was designed to run—smoothy and with minimal energy use. The repair and maintenance services we provide will keep your home healthy and safe all day, every day.”

Caveman Heating designs, repairs and installs HVAC duct systems, air conditioning, gas heating, heat pump systems, geothermal heat pumps, radiant floor heating, and ductless heat pumps. They specialize in both residential and commercial work.

“Our goal is make your home HVAC worry-free and comfortable without jumping through a lot of hoops,” John said. “The range of technology we have today for heating and cooling indoor spaces is truly amazing. Our technicians are pros who will evaluate what you need and provide you the best solutions. At every installation, our consultants do an in-depth look at your home to determine which system will keep you comfortable for years to come. We help you have a clear understanding of your project.”

At Caveman Heating, “every project is carefully analyzed and custom designed for the structure into which it will go. It is then installed with utmost care and respect for your home or business, with full focus on getting the job done on time and within budget.” Their “highly trained team of service and repair professionals are fully accredited to accurately diagnose, service and then maintain your HVAC system regardless of the brand or age of your equipment.”

They also offer over-the-counter sales on filters and miscellaneous parts, and they are proud sponsors of many local groups, including Rotary, Ride the Rogue, Wildlife Images, Rogue River Greenway, Crossing Bridges and Our Foster Kids, among others.
