FAMILY ATMOSPHERE AT APPLEBEE’S GRILL & BAR

Applebee’s got a boost last year when country singer Walker Hayes featured them in the lyrics to his hit song “Fancy Like.” Locally, Applebee’s Grill & Bar (250 NE Agness Avenue) has taken advantage by offering “a family friendly casual dining restaurant that focuses on fun, friendly service, and an inclusive menu for all to enjoy.”

Franchise owner Joe Wong of JA Foods has owned over 20 restaurants all throughout California and parts of Oregon. He currently owns four Logan’s Steakhouses, ten Applebee’s, View 202, and Hilltop Diner. The Grants Pass Applebee’s has been serving local customers since June 2001.

Jacqueline Vidalo is the General Manager of the Grants Pass restaurant, and she has over 20 years experience in the restaurant industry, managing many restaurants in Medford and Ashland, including her own restaurant, Loft, that she owned for ten years.

Trina Young is the service manager, and she too has extensive experience in the restaurant business, serving as General Manager and District Manager for Village Inn Restaurants. She’s also the face you’ll see on the KDLR Food Frenzy commercial.

“Our focus here is to treat all guests like family,” Jacqueline said. “Guests can expect a fun and inviting atmosphere with friendly service and hot fresh food made to order. We offer our guests daily Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, and we have Kid’s Night every Tuesday for $2.99 from 4 to close. Also, during our ‘Taco Tuesday,’ Wonton Tacos are $6, and Wing Wednesday offers ten boneless wings for $7. Monday night is Burger Night, with any burger for $10.99. We also have lunch combos every day from 11am-2pm starting at $10.99.”

The menu at Applebee’s is extensive, from appetizers like Brew Pub Loaded Waffle Fries to a 12-ounce Ribeye Steak and double-glazed Baby Back Ribs. There are also chicken dinners and pasta dishes, not to mention hand-battered Fish & Chips and handcrafted burgers.

For lunch and dinner, there is an extensive selection of sandwiches, soups and salads. And for those who want a little different atmosphere, Applebee’s offers a bar, where you can enjoy a drink with your lunch or dinner while watching the NBA playoffs. And you will definitely want to check out their world-famous “Perfect Margarita.”
