According to Marla Quin-tana, owner of Aesthetispa Laser & Wellness Center (1246 NE 7^th, Suite C), while the Medical Spa industry was driven by Hollywood for a number of years, things are starting to change.

“You would see changes in ‘faces,’ but they weren’t always for the better,” Marla said. “Now we’re seeing a more natural, rejuvenated look. Thankfully women (and men) want to look ‘better’ but not different. Medical devices are also changing. Now you can have treatment and get back to work in a day or even the hour. The industry has definitely grown a lot over the past twenty years. It used to be mainly plastic surgery offices that held the industry standard for medical spas. Now the industry is a mix of day spas and medical spas.”

Marla is a Registered Nurse with a background in operating room nursing and a degree in nursing from Southern Oregon University. She has owned a traveling nurse agency and was the Clinical Director at Cascade Surgery Center in Grants Pass for 18 years. At Aesthetispa Laser & Wellness Center, she provides cosmetic dermal fillers, laser and Botox treatments under the direction of Dr. Matthew Guymon, Medical Director. She opened the center in 2006.

“I was motivated in this business by a friend who saw the vision for Medical Spas,” said Marla, who has lived in the Rogue Valley her entire life. “We have many devices here at AesthetiSpa with the newest technology. We do a lot of ‘Botox’ and moderate fillers. We will listen to the client and take a minimal approach when possible. More women want to look better without downtime or obvious changes. We can do that. Our Estheticians are the Best. Terri Foster has over 20 years of experience and a very large clientele. Natalia Pate is newer to our practice and does most of our work with the Aquafirme Stem Cell Facials.”
